Since the creation of the DAO we have organised 3 artistic residencies in the nature of Portugal. The goal of our residencies is to connect artists, offer them a space to create outside of the cities and to explore new ways of working together. Both residencies have been supported by NEAR Protocol and all participants have been onboarded, exploring the web3 space and even created their own projects within this ecosystem.
Would you like to organize a residency with us?
Do you have a physical space or an idea for a residency and you’d like to have muti onboard? We’re happy to join forces!
In October 2021 we invited 5 artists into the nature of Sertã to The Hide to spend one week together and create. The theme of the the residency was “Planta a Palavra” – with a focus on spoken word and poetry.
The week was filled with workshops, communitary meals and creation in nature. The final show was presented in a full Prisma Studios in Lisbon.

The Fool's Journey | 10.-16.01.22
In January 2022 our second Residency took place at Ouriço, a cultural space next to the sea in Parede, Portugal. To begin the new cycle, we chose the theme of the “Fool’s Journey”, thinking back of the past 12 months and working towards a vision for the upcoming year.
After an Open Call the 5 chosen artists worked one week together to create an immersive experience in the house. This included film recordings and projections, clay works, mural paintings, poetry, performance art and tarot readings, a chemigram exhibition and an open jam session.
