July 4th and 5th is when you can get your feathers out and meet us for another CATATUA, to escape your city hustle and to immerse yourself into the beautiful nature of central Portugal, where waters are clear, trees are whispering and the dance takes place under the starry sky.

We’ll bring + 10 artists and creatives to make your weekend an unforgettable experience.

From ambient sounds to hip hop beats, electronic bass rhythms and groovey live concerts – we’ve got something for everyone.

Spoon Carving for Beginners

SATURDAY 14-17:00

with Joel Leirião

All materials are provided – 4 spots available – 25€

Regardless of if you’re curious, on the prepper wave or just like the smell of freshly cut wood, this workshop is for you. In this 3 hour session, artist Joel Leirião will teach you how to carve a wooden spoon from scratch that you can take home and make your momma proud with.

As we’ll be handling very sharp tools, the workshop is open for humans from 18 years on.

Art comes in many shapes, and the written word is one of them.

With the help of the gang from @Wordplay, discover how to guide your own words from brain to paper, regardless of your writing experience.

We’ve read that they are very friendly and that they create a supportive space, so don’t be shy, bring a pen and paper, and write with them by the river.

Dave and Dixon will lead you through writing exercises and word games in the workshop – they will be happy to provide feedback for your own work if you want it..

Medicinal plants

A phantastic workshop for the plant-astic person that you are!

Ever wondered which local plants we have around here and how to tickle their medicinal properties out of them?
Fear not, Herbal Fusion has got you covered!

In two hours, they’ll take you on a walk to identify the local plants (if the weather allows), explain you how to gather, clean and store them properly and you will also get to make your own tinctures, herbal teas, balms and other medicinal sorceries. You’ll even leave the workshop with the recipe book so that you can keep on frolicking over meadows, making your own tinctures at home.

Mandala workshop

Up for a little therapeutic art session?

Ceciliarose Geometric is offerinf a Mandala creation workshop to get into that meditative state.

Learn about the resonance colour palette and geometric techniques as well as colour analysis and take your own mandala home.

If you are considering to bring your dog, do yourself and them a favor and leave them at home. We love them too, but there will be loud music and the river beach itself is not a dog beach. If you have no other option, leave them on the leash and make sure to pick up their poop.
